Wow, I can’t believe I’ve had this blog for two months! It simultaneously feels like way longer and barely yesterday that I got started.
We’ve made it to March, so it’s time to look back on February’s reading and see how I’ve done!

My goodreads challenge total is now 18 out of 50! 8 of these books are from February:
- Love, Hate & Other Filters by Samira Ahmed
- An Abundance of Katherines by John Green
- Star-Crossed by Barbara Dee
- The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern
- The Umbrella Academy: Apocalypse Suite by Gerard Way, Gabriel Ba
- The Umbrella Academy: Dallas by Gerard Way, Gabriel Ba
- The Umbrella Academy: Hotel Oblivion Ashcan by Gerard Way, Gabriel Ba
- Feminists Don’t Wear Pink by Scarlett Curtis, various authors

All these books count for my Beat The Backlist challenge! My total for this challenge is now 14!
I’ve also filled a few more bingo squares:

- #OwnVoices – Love, Hate & Other Filters by Samira Ahmed
- From Your 2018 TBR – Feminists Don’t Wear Pink by Scarlett Curtis, various authors
- New-To-You Author – Star-crossed by Barbara Dee
- Cover Art Redesign – The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern
- Book To Movie/Show – The Umbrella Academy: Apocalypse Suite by Gerard Way, Gabriel Ba
I’m so close to bingo on the bottom line!! However, I’m famously terrible for finishing series so I’m more like to fill another line before that one square.

Authors & Characters of Colour:
- Love, Hate & Other Filters – Indian author (Samira Ahmed), Indian MC (Maya), several Indian supporting characters (Kareem, Hina, Maya’s parents)
- An Abundance of Katherines – Muslim supporting character (Hassan – is shown to be religious and speak Arab, although his ethnicity is never fully defined which is yet another issue I have with this book)
- The Night Circus – Japanese supporting character (Tsukiko)
- Feminists Don’t Wear Pink – various authors of colour (who are all excellent women too!)
A Series of Unfortunate Events
Oops. I keep forgetting this one!
Friends’ Favourites
- Love, Hate & Other Filters has been recommended to me several times by Michaela @ A Novel Idea!
And before I finish up, here are some of my favourite blog posts from this month:

Birthdays & Books! by Michaela @ A Novel Idea
The Book Interview Tag by Destiny @ Howling Libraries
The Fairy Tale Book Tag by Dellybird
I tried to plan my February tbr out, but I actually found it difficult to stick to – I just wanted to read whatever took my fancy! I did read two of my Twitter poll picks, plus completed both my buddy reads so it wasn’t a total write-off – but I think for March I’ll just go with the flow!
There we have it! I hope you’ve all had a fabulous February, and here’s to even more great reads in March 🙂
We’ll be launching March’s #BookRecLottery soon – keep an eye on the page for more info!

Great book month. I’ve been meaning to read the Night Circus for ages now. Hopefully, March will be just as good a month.

The Night Circus keeps popping up everywhere for me. Someone mentioned it at last month’s library book discussion, and since then I’ve seen it on four or five other book blogs. I’m going to have to read this so it stops following me around, aren’t I???
Congrats on two months book blogging! 🙂

Ah what a great February you had! You’re doing so well at beating the backlist, I’m definitely going to have to take a leaf out of your book for this one! Good luck completing that bottom row – so close!
