Happy February everybody! Before we plunge into my birthday month, I want to have a look back at January and see how I’m doing with my various bookish goals, plus share some stuff I got up to and some blogs I loved reading!

So far, I have read 10 out of 50 books for my goodreads challenge!
- The Weight of a Piano by Chris Cander
- The Happiness Project by Pippa James
- Meddling Kids by Edgar Cantero
- Kindred Spirits by Rainbow Rowell
- As Old As Time by Liz Braswell
- Belinda Blinked 3 by Rocky Flintstone
- Night of the Party by Tracey Mathias
- The Last of August by Brittany Cavallaro
- The Case for Jamie by Brittany Cavallaro
- Release by Patrick Ness

So far, I’ve read 8 Beat the Backlist books! BTB is a challenge hosted by NovelKnight where you read through your TBR of books published before 2019.

And for the bingo I’ve filled 4 squares:

- Borrowed or gifted – Kindred Spirits by Rainbow Rowell (Thanks Michaela! Release would have counted for this one too.)

A Series of Unfortunate Events
Uhh, nope. I watched the final series though?
Friends’ Favourites
- Meddling Kids is a book several of my friends have read and enjoyed, so I’m counting it!
In January I also launched The Book Rec Lottery with Michaela @ A Novel Idea! Each month we’ll choose a theme then we want your recommendations that fit it! We’d love for as many people as possible to get involved so check it out and share with your pals.

Meddling Kids is so much fun! My boyfriend bought me the author’s newest novel which is about a pair of twins living in one body – very surreal!

It was a good one!! Meddling Kids is so great and it was also partially inspired by Enid Blyton adventures which were my childhood (and basically a quaint, British version of Scooby Doo!).

I can’t believe I’ve never heard of Kindred Spirits, this is definitely one to add to my list! I love the way you’re approaching getting through the backlist – I think I need to do something like that, mine’s insane! Great post!

It’s a great little novella! Lots of fun and celebrates Star Wars! I thoroughly recommend signing up for Beat the Backlist – it’s really made me dig into my shelves.
