music shuffle tag

music shuffle tag

My lovely pal Becca created a music shuffle tag and my other lovely pal Michaela tagged me to take part!

Basically, you put your itunes/spotify/music streaming service on shuffle and think up a book, character, ship or plot point that the song you land on reminds you of! There’s no need to explain your choices (although you can if you like), it’s your opinion and that’s what matters. Then tag 5 – 10 bloggish friends and see what they come up with!

Here we go:

bette davis eyes – kim carnes

scarlett o’hara – gone with the wind

And she’ll tease you, she’ll unease you
All the better just to please you
She’s precocious, and she knows just what it
Takes to make a pro blush

a night like this – caro emerald

jane bennet x charles bingley – pride and prejudice

I have never dreamed it
Have you ever dreamed a night like this
I cannot believe it
I may never see a night like this
When everything you think is incomplete
Starts happening when you are cheek to cheek

clocks – coldplay

tom hazard – how to stop time

Confusion that never stops
The closing walls and the ticking clocks gonna
Come back and take you home
I could not stop, that you now know, singing

Come out upon my seas
Cursed missed opportunities am I
A part of the cure
Or am I part of the disease

you get what you give – new radicals

ale, augie and t.c – my most excellent year

Wake up kids
We’ve got the dreamers disease
Age 14 we got you down on your knees
So polite, you’re busy still saying please
Frienemies, who when you’re down ain’t your friend
Every night we smash their Mercedes-Benz
First we run, and then we laugh ’til we cry

You’ve got the music in you
Don’t let go
You’ve got the music in you
One dance left
This world is gonna pull through
Don’t give up
You’ve got a reason to live
Can’t forget
We only get what we give

style – taylor swift

lara jean song covey x peter kavinsky – to all the boys i’ve loved before

Cause you got that James Dean daydream look in your eye
And I got that red lip, classic thing that you like
And when we go crashing down, we come back every time
‘Cause we never go out of style, we never go out of style
You’ve got that long hair slick back, white t-shirt
And I got that good girl faith and a tight little skirt
And when we go crashing down, we come back every time
‘Cause we never go out of style, we never go out of style

Ooh this was fun!!

I’d like to tag the lovely: lilistarreads, Kerys @ the Everlasting Library, Clo @ Book Dragons, elgee writes, Catarina @ Pages & Plots, Stephanie @ chasmofbooks and Kat @ novelswaffles, plus anyone else who I’d like to give it a go!

ALSO, if you enjoyed this post please check out The Book Rec Lottery! A new feature on my blog where you can recommend your favourite books based around a theme; this month we want to know books you’d recommend to someone who doesn’t like reading!
